News From Debbie Davies and Her Band

Hey everybody…it seems that since the advent of FaceBook I really haven’t taken the time to keep up with my “letters from the road!” but finally, my team and I are working to update the website and I will be “blogging” now instead. So many cool things are happening for me, that I wanted to reach out and and share with all of you.

After surviving 2010 which was a really tough year for me, I am happy to report that a brand new CD is gonna be released this summer, July 17th, on MC Records called AFTER THE FALL! The album will feature tunes penned by myself and my long time drummer and co-writer, Don Castagno.

2012 has been a year full of gifts, culminating with this Record Deal. At the beginning of the year I found myself with a new manager. After a good 10 years on my own, it was time. I had always dreamt of finding myself a strong, female manager, and this dream came true in Pat Morgan!

In January, I had the honor once again of performing with Tommy Castro’s Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise Review on the Blues Cruise itself. Unexpected gifts on the ship came in the form of being invited to play with The Phantom Blues Band in a tribute to Taj Majal, and accompanying Dion in a special duo performance.

Next I flew with my trio to Portugal for a performance in Lisbon and with two free days, we explored the city on foot and by train. Upon returning stateside, we went immediately back into the studio to complete our recording project. I had the honor of working with the greatly talented Dave Gross as our producer at Fat Rabbit Studios in Glen Ridge, NJ. We kept it real organic and natural, adding the one and only Bruce Katz on Keyboards. I’m feelin’ real proud of this one!

We’ve really got a lot of touring booked for this summer and beyond, so I hope many of you will be able to come out and support us on the road! We’ll be crossing the country in May, hitting the Southeast in June, Playing the Northeast in July, and then I’ll fly solo over the pond to join Todd Sharpville and Nick Moss at some festivals in England and Scotland. In August I will re-unit with my band for more shows from Springfield Oregon to Sweden! Hope to see you all along the way!
